We are pleased to announce that the Barrage Call of Duty team will be competing at Call of Duty World League (CWL) New Orleans (NOLA) in the United States.

CWL NOLA will be the biggest event of the year, taking place on the 12-14 January, hosting a total of 256+ teams who will fight for their chance to be crowned the NOLA Champions. With such a huge number of teams competing at the event, there is no doubt that it will be a difficult one for everyone involved.
The Call of Duty team is ready to compete with only a couple days remaining. They are working hard and constantly improving which is evident from their recent performances in the weekly 2k tournaments. In the most recent tournament, they successfully gained a Top 16 placement and 1600 pro points as a team. Whilst they unfortunately lost to Epsilon 3-1 for a Top 8 placement, the maps were incredibly close leaving a positive feeling amongst everyone.

Jordan ‘Wizard’ Thomas took the time to sit down with us and tell us a bit about the roster’s recent performances and how changes have affected their performances this season.
“Our minimum goal as a team is to secure a National League spot, to do that we must secure the 1000 pro point cutoff margin at NOLA. However, to me that’s setting the bar too low because as individuals we all have the skill and the potential to make a really good run at NOLA. Despite small issues, mainly due to a lack of practice caused by a recent roster change, a Top 48 placing should be achieved with relative ease.”

This roster has had several changes to its structure but the two core members of the team, Wizard and Beep, are certain that they have finally found the best roster to compete with.
“After the Infinite Warfare season, the core remaining members of the Barrage lineup were me and Beep. Towards the end of the season we picked up Stace and after a lot of changes to the roster, we finally found the current roster of Beep, Stace, Furbzie and I. This roster is a huge improvement compared to the previous iterations which at times would struggle to make Top 32.”
This event will be a great opportunity for this new roster to prove themselves on a global scale and we would like to take this opportunity to thank our fantastic sponsors, fans and our extremely hard-working staff. The Barrage Call of Duty team is locked and loaded for CWL NOLA, but is NOLA ready for us?
